Having operated as an independent hotel for more than a century, the proprietors of the Battle House Hotel sold it to Sheraton Hotels and Resorts in 1958. It renamed the business back to the “Battle House Hotel,” and attempted to restore its earlier architectural features. Despite several remedies to fix the ailing business, the hotel closed to an uncertain future in 1974. Department of the Interior listed the empty hotel on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, thus protecting it from any potential demolition plans. Ft. of elegant meeting space and full service spa. The fact that check out time is at 11am instead of 10am like everywhere else I’ve ever stayed makes a huge difference on how rushed your morning is. The Battle House Renaissance was much more than we expected. The building itself is beautiful and spacious, offering many amenities, such as a beautiful pool and spa, as well as delicious onsite dining with friendly staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.
